By 1902, there were 30 living in the city and in 1910 there were approximately 500; however, the number increased to 4,000 during the early 1950s. Long before the earliest Greeks arrived in the city, the Grecian influence could readily be seen throughout Syracuse in the form of architecture and the naming of many important landmarks in the area.
