Tarot, the subset of Cartomancy: the summoning of entities through cards for divinatory purposes to learn about the Other world, the physical world, and potential pathways. Tarotology is the study or reading of tarot cards and their meanings to gain knowledge and insight into the past, present and future. Cartomancy works similarly but may range from any type of cards such as the standard playing cards we know today, to oracle cards, Medicine cards, and so forth. Demonomancy is the use of demons to divinate, often times in a summoning triangle, to meet these dark forces in glorious form and hear them with a discernible voice. The use of demons in tarot is not new, in fact Tarot has been hailed by the Church to be the Devil's playing cards. Tarot is still feared by the deeply religious for its demonic connections while little attention is paid to the demonic forces by most readers today. Demons have a very significant and powerful place in Tarotology.
