High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The University of Heidelberg Faculty of Law (also known as Heidelberg Law School), located in Heidelberg, Germany, is one of the original four constituent faculties of the University of Heidelberg. Founded in 1386 by Rupert I, Elector Palatine, it is the oldest law school in Germany. The majority of its approximately 2.100 students pursue the first professional degree in law, but there is also a considerable number of post- graduates studying for Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Doctor of Laws degrees. As of 2009, the law school's faculty consists of 64 university professors, excluding assistant professors, as well as graduate research and teaching assistants, adjunct faculty, and visiting scholars.
