Hilary Duff is the self-titled third studio album by American pop singer Hilary Duff, released by Hollywood Records in the United States on September 28, 2004. The album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 192,000 copies in its first week. It produced two singles that were not major hits. Upon its release, Hilary Duff received generally negative reviews from most music critics, many of whom compared it to the music of Avril Lavigne and Ashlee Simpson.
