High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! HMAS Barbette (P 97) was an Attack class patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). She was built by Walkers Limited at Maryborough, Queensland, launched on 10 April 1968, and commissioned on 16 August 1968. Barbette paid off on 15 June 1984. She was transferred to the Indonesian Navy on 22 February 1985 and renamed KRI Siada (862). The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) is the naval branch of the Australian Defence Force. Following the Federation of Australia in 1901, the ships and resources of the separate colonial navies were integrated into a national force: the Commonwealth Naval Forces.
