Built at Montreal by Canadian Vickers, Givenchy was commissioned in June 1918 and paid off at Esquimalt, British Columbia in August 1919. Transferred to the Department of Marine and Fisheries, she served as a fisheries protection vessel before being returned to the RCN in April 1939. Used mainly as an accommodation ship, Givenchy was in commission between June 1940 and December 1943. After being sold in September 1946, Givenchy was probably broken up in the United States in 1953.
