Ville de Quebec is the third vessel in her class which is the name for the Canadian Patrol Frigate Project. She is the second vessel to carry the designation HMCS Ville de Quebec. Ville de Quebec was laid down on 16 December 1988 at MIL Davie Shipbuilding, Lauzon and launched on 16 May 1991. She was officially commissioned into the CF on 29 March 1993 and carries the hull classification symbol 332.
