She was decommissioned on 4 August 1999 and expended as a target in August 2004. Her nickname was The Billy B or Pinocchio, due to her extended bows. She was one of only 2 batch 22's (the other being 'Beaver') fitted with the lower height hangar of the batch 1's, so she could only accommodate lynx helo's. On coming out of refit in 1990, with a clean bottom she achieved close to 34 knots.
