High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! HMS E30 was a British E class submarine built by Armstrong Whitworth, Newcastle upon Tyne. She was laid down on 29 June 1914 and was commissioned in November 1915. HMS E30 was mined off Orfordness, Suffolk in the North Sea on 22 December 1916. There were no survivors. The British E class submarines started out as improved versions of the British D class submarine. All of the first group and some of the second group were completed before the outbreak of World War I.
