High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! HMS Eclipse was an E class destroyer of the Royal Navy. She was launched by Denny in 1934. She sank a U Boat in 1943. On 24 October 1943 the Eclipse exploded a mine off the island of Kalymnos. When she was sunk the Eclipse was carrying over 200 soldiers from the 4th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment) to reinforce the island of Leros during the battle for Leros.
