HMS Faulknor (H62) was an F-class destroyer of the Royal Navy laid down by Yarrow Shipbuilders at Scotstoun in Scotland on 31 July 1933, launched on 12 June 1934 and commissioned on 24 May 1935. She was a flotilla leader for the 1932 programme of destroyers, built to the same design as HMS Exmouth, flotilla leader for the 1931 programme of E-class destroyers, which marked a return to building flotilla leaders to an enlarged design, the most obvious difference being the additional 4.7 inch gun between the funnels in the 'Q' position.
