High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! HMS Flying Fish was a Star-class destroyer of the Royal Navy of the three-funnelled "C" type. She was launched by Palmers, Jarrow, on 4 March 1897, served during the Great War and was broken up after the end of hostilities in 1919. The Star-class destroyer was a class of eight destroyers that served in the Royal Navy: Bat, Crane, Chamois, Fawn, Flirt, Flying Fish, Star and Whiting, were all three-funnelled C-class destroyers, as designated in the reorganisation of classes in 1913.
