High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! HMS H22 was a British H class submarine built by Vickers Limited, Barrow-in-Furness, as part of the Batch 3 H class submarines. She was laid down on 7 September 1918 and was commissioned on 6 November 1918. HMS H22 was sold on 19 February 1929 and was broken up in Charlestown, Fife. The British H class submarines were Holland 602 type submarines used by the Royal Navy. The submarines constructed for the British Royal Navy between 1915 and 1919 were designed and built in response to German boats which mined British waters and sank coastal shipping with ease due to their small size.
