The artistry of dance spans a multitude of professional fields encompassing an array of technologies including projection, video, audio, and interactive media. This work explores opportunities in which digital media can be incorporated into a modern dance performance. The piece, "Information Overload", an original dance piece produced as part of this project, examines how we relate to technology. Furthermore, the piece serves as a vehicle to explore various ways in which technology can add to the overall dance performance through animation, projection on fabric, real time video filtration and motion capture. This project brings together and draws expertise and knowledge from several programs including Performing Arts, Digital Media, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Music Industry.
