He started his career in the Football League with Charlton Athletic, Millwall, Bury and Southend United, before dropping into non-League football with Hornchurch, Grays Athletic and Rushden Diamonds. He has also once acted as manager for Grays in the Essex Senior Cup and later captained the side.
