She is best known for her work with the Royal Canadian Air Farce, which she joined in 2003. She is married to actor Scott Yaphe. Holmes attended Canterbury High School in Ottawa followed by Ryerson University in Toronto. She was raised with two older, supposedly fraternal (non-identical) twin brothers.
