He first gained attention with his music video for a song titled "Bag", which ultimately led to him being signed to DJ Green Lantern’s record label Future Green Entertainment. In 2009, he released his first EP titled Group Hug. On February 14, 2010, Polygon released an official mixtape, Rebel Without Applause, which included his promotional single, "The Riot Song". On April 1, 2010, Polygon announced he was no longer signed to Future Green Entertainment and will continue to be an independent artist. Polygon frequently works with longtime friend Gabriel Royal and has also worked with Dead Prez, Nas, Kid Cudi and Amanda Diva.
