He is currently serving in his 2nd term in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Maryland`s District 11 in Baltimore County, and is a member of the Ways and Means Committee. Cardin chairs the Election Law Subcommittee. Cardin is the nephew of Ben Cardin, a United States Senator from Maryland. He is running for a third term in the Maryland House of Delegates.
