High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Jonathan James "Jon" Scheyer (born August 24, 1987, in Northbrook, Illinois) is an American-Israeli 6 ft 5 in (196 cm) professional basketball player. He plays shooting guard for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Super League in that competition, the Adriatic League, and the Euroleague. Scheyer led his high school team to an Illinois state basketball championship as a high school All American, and the 2009–10 Duke Blue Devils to the 2010 NCAA Basketball Championship as a college All American. He was a prolific high school scorer, and later an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) leader in numerous statistical categories, ranging from free throw percentage and three point shots/game to assists/turnover ratio.
