Young was among the fashion world’s top models in the late 1980s and 1990s, appearing on several covers of high fashion magazines, including multiple appearances on the cover of Vogue, Elle, and Glamour in the US and abroad. She was later asked to pose for the annual well-known Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition, Young recently co-founded the first and only U.S.-based multi-textural hair salon, Hair Rules New York. Young was born in San Francisco, California. She has three sisters and one brother.
