Kidada Jones is the elder daughter of composer/arranger Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. She was raised in Bel-Air, California, with her younger sister, actress Rashida Jones.She began working as a celebrity stylist for one of her father's publications, Vibe Magazine. Kidada gained attention when she styled Michael Jackson for the cover of VIBE in 1995, which led her to be subsequently recruited by designer Tommy Hilfiger. Hilfiger launched a successful ad campaign centered around Kidada, her friends (including Aaliyah, Tamia, Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie and Oliver Hudson) and their lifestyles as celebrity kids. Prior to her work with Vibe, she was the fiancee of rapper Tupac Shakur at the time of his death.
