It is an acronym for Kereta Rel Listrik Jakarta Bogor Depok Tangerang Bekasi which can be loosely translated into `Jabodetabek electrified rail.` KRL Jabodetabek serves commuters in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, South Tangerang, and Bekasi. In cooperation with Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, KRL Jabotabek runs a tourist train called Kereta Wisata Ancol on weekends. As of October 1, 2012, The cost of KRL Jabotabek tickets are Rp 2,000 (economy) and Rp 9,000 (with air conditioning).
