The fictional land "Shin Makoku" is where most Mazoku reside. There are twelve noble families which rule over their specific area in Shin Makoku. "Von" is the surname of each of the noble family, followed by the name of their land. Earth is a different world, and its flow of time is noticebly shorter than Shin Makoku. For this reason, when Yuri travels between both, a lot of time passes by in Shin Makoku whereas in Earth less than a moment goes by. However, due to the influence of all four boxes gathered in the Original King's temple, time seems to go much faster than normal in Earth. The Original King's era took place 4000 years before the present storyline.
