High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Lamborghini V10 is a ninety degree (90°) V10 petrol engine which was developed for the Lamborghini Gallardo automobile, first sold in 2003. This is only the third internal combustion engine developed by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., for use in the Gallardo, and the first engine developed by the company after they were acquired by AUDI AG - part of the Volkswagen Group. As such, it shares components and technology from other members of the group, specifically Audi. Its crankcase and cylinder block is built at the Audi Hungaria Motor Kft. factory in Gy?r, Hungary, whilst final assembly is at Sant'Agata, Italy. Its 90° vee angle is unusual for this particular configuration of cylinders; it was chosen to keep the center of gravity of the engine low. For the same reason, a dry sump lubrication system was also used.
