It has been officially announced that the game will be released on October 26, 2010, with an early opening (October 12, 2010) for LEGO "Founders", which will comprise users who pre-order the game. It will be globally distributed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Its release has been delayed from original estimates of 2009, late November 2008, and mid-2008. This will be the first Lego computer game sold in which players can connect and play online, and will be only available in English. The game is currently in the Closed Beta stage of testing.
