Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. In algebraic geometry, lemniscate refers to any of several figure-eight or shaped curves, of which the best known is the Lemniscate of Bernoulli. The most general visual form for this curve is seen as a toric section of a torus. It is also sometimes used to refer to the infty symbol used in mathematics as a symbol for infinity. Algebraic geometry is a branch of mathematics which combines techniques of abstract algebra, especially commutative algebra, with the language and the problems of geometry. It occupies a central place in modern mathematics and has multiple conceptual connections with such diverse fields as complex analysis, topology and number theory.
