The first series, entitled Full Metal Panic!, was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten`s magazine Newtype by Retsu Tateo. All the adaptations focus on the paramilitary counter-terrorist force Mithril`s Sergeant Sousuke Sagara, who arrives to the Jindai High School.
