The series premiered on August 7, 2007 and is a spinoff of Miami Ink which focuses on tattoo artist Kat Von D returning to Los Angeles after leaving Miami Ink to pursue her dream of opening up her own tattoo shop. In Season 3, the show started to follow High Voltage`s rival American Electric after former LA Ink artists Amy Nicoletti and Paulie Tatoo left and it`s being owned by Craig Jack. Corey soon joined AE in Season 4 along with newcomer Ruthless. The show returned on July 28 for the second half of Season 4 but TLC announced that this season would be its last and that the show would be cancelled.
