This list includes all Rapid Transit, Light Rail, and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations currently open on the MBTA`s subway system. There are 146 stations on the 5 line system, all of which are located primarily within the Greater Boston area. Boylston and Park Street, which opened in 1897, were the first two subway stations in the United States of America.
