Garcia made his debut in 2000, appearing in episodes four ER and Any Day Now. He later began starring in many national commercials, such as for Chevrolet. In 2002, Luis landed the role of George Lopez's son, Max, on the sitcom George Lopez, alongside George Lopez and Constance Marie. He also made an appearance on the sitcom Freddie. Garcia was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2003 for his performance in George Lopez.
