Maddie is an old friend of Bart McQueen (Jonny Clarke). Bowman`s casting was announced in June 2011. Maddie was introduced to Hollyoaks along with her friends, Tilly Evans (Lucy Dixon) and Jono (Dylan Llewellyn). Maddie made her first appearance in the episode broadcast on 21 June 2011 and departed on 15 November 2012 when her character was killed in the highly publicised Enjoy The Ride storyline.
