How do knowledge creation processes unfold? What are the important individual and group interactions within these processes? This book provides insights to such questions related to knowledge creation processes. Based on doctoral research at the LSE, this book approaches knowledge creation through an in-depth study of a maintenance department. The book makes sense of knowledge creation processes in an integrated and holistic manner using a theoretical framework which combines Nonaka's Unified Model of Dynamic Knowledge Creation with Von Krogh’s Knowledge Activism framework. This process view of knowledge creation allows for the identification of different modes of knowledge creation within the case organisation.
