Mark Cavendish MBE (born on 21 May 1985) is a Manx professional road racing cyclist who rides for UCI ProTeam HTC-Highroad until the end of this season when the team is dissolved. He will join Team Sky at the start of the 2012 season. Originally a track cyclist specialising in the madison, points race, and scratch race disciplines, he has competed on the road since 2006, rising to prominence as a sprinter.
