It is about 2 mi (3.2 km) east of U.S. Route 52 from the unincorporated community of Mount Holly, which is directly north of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Medway is the oldest recorded house extant in South Carolina. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places on July 16, 1970.
