Ali debuted in 2001 with the hit single "Rapture" as a part of the duo iiO, which hit number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts. As one half of iiO, she co-produced the album Poetica, which included the 2006 Billboard Hot Dance Club Play single "Is It Love?". Ali released her solo debut album Embers in 2009.
