Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Nafudakake is a group of nametags in dojo of Japanese martial arts and other arts in Japan (such as Japanese tea ceremony) showing the members of the dojo, and sometimes their ranks. Usually, each name is written on a separate wooden plaque and hung from a small metal hook, or held in place by wooden girders. In dojo where rank is indicated, a person's nametag is moved upon attaining a higher rank. Nafudakake are also used at Shinto shrines, to display names of benefactors.
