Nagai Sriram commenced his career as an violinist at the age of 12 when he played for Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan in New Delhi. Since then, he has been a regular accompanist for many leading artists including Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, P. Unnikrishnan, T. N. Seshagopalan, T.V. Shankaranarayanan, O. S. Thyaagarajan, Madurai Seshagopalan, K.V. Naarayanaswamy, S. Sowmya, Hyderabad Brothers, Dr. N. Ramani, Sanjay Subrahmaniam, T. M. Krishna, and has also been a regular accompanist for Carnatica Bros.
