In each episode, Mrs. Bea (voiced by Marty Stelnick), Mona's mother, drops her off at Nana Lan (voiced by Jason Hopley)'s house in the morning and picks her up at the end of the episode. Mona, Nana, and Russell Bea the Dog (Mona's sidekick and partner and Nana's puppy dog, voiced by Jason Hopley) spend the day exploring, learning, visiting Harold "Hank" Wooka (Nana's next-door neighbor, voiced by Todd Doldersum), and playing.
