Nancy Meckler is an American theatre director and film director, best known for her work in the United Kingdom, especially with Shared Experience, where she is joint artistic director alongside Polly Teale. Meckler is director of the films Sister My Sister and Indian Summer. Meckler was brought up in Great Neck on Long Island, New York. She attended Antioch College and trained as an actress at LAMDA. She has lived in the UK since 1968.
