She dreamed of either teaching classical dance or English literature, which she studied at the University of New York. In 2003, she took part in the Greek version of the popular show Popstars and the astonishment of the teenager won a spot on the girl band Hi-5, making her the youngest in the band. Stergiopoulou along with the four other members, Marlen Angelidou, Irini Psichrami, Frosso Papacharalambous and Shaya had two very successful years and numerous chart-topping hits with the band. In 2005, the band decided to amicably split up so its members could pursue their own solo music careers.
