The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, commonly referred to as NTUST or Taiwan Tech, is a public/national technological university located in the Taipei, Taiwan. Taiwan Tech was established in 1974, as the first and the leading higher education institution of its kind within Taiwan`s technical and vocational education system. The university is ranked 351 among world universities (subject ranking: Engineering/Technology: 143) in the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009. The university is also ranked 56 among Asian universities (subject ranking: Engineering/Technology: 33) in the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2010.
