It is a small engineering college serving mainly the areas of Southern Punjab province. In order to meet the requirement of trained manpower for chemical process industry, especially in the fertilizer sector, a Training Centre was established in 1985 with the technical assistance of M/s. COSMO International Co., Ltd., Japan. The Centre trains managers, engineers, supervisors, operators, and technicians through programs that vary widely in content. It is very small, with classes of 45 students, and is intended mainly to serve only one region of Pakistan
