High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! NC 47 is an east–west North Carolina state highway in Davidson and Randolph counties. It traverses 24 miles (39 km) and primarily connects Denton with Interstate 85 and Asheboro. Its western terminus is in Lexington at Interstate 85 (Exit 88). From there, the route travels south to the community of Linwood, North Carolina, where it turns east, crossing NC 8 and Abbots Creek. Continuing in a southeasterly direction, NC 47 makes its way into the heart of Denton. After joining NC 109 for less than a mile, NC 47 exits Denton along Bombay Road to its eastern terminus at NC 49.
