Nudging is a feature of MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger which can be used to draw a buddy's attention to a conversation window, by shaking the conversation window and playing a sound. The feature, which was first introduced in MSN Messenger 7.0, has become a popular feature, but can also be an annoying one to the recipients of the nudges. After sending a nudge there are 15 seconds (JTAP) delay before another one may be sent. The receiving of Nudges can be disabled in the options.It is possible to change memory values of Windows Live Messenger to allow nudges to be sent unlimited with no time delay.
