Established in 1945 , was incorporated August 22, 1950 it is one of the oldest organizations involved with the preservation of railroad equipment and railroad history in North America. The museum is open Sundays from Memorial Day weekend to the end of September. The Museum was started with the name of "The Central Ohio Railfans Association" and officially changed its name to The Ohio Railway Museum February 17, 1993
