High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! State Route 243 is an east–west state highway in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at U.S. Route 52 in Coal Grove, and the route continues in an eastward direction. Following its junction with State Route 378, State Route 243 heads due south. Near the Ohio River, the route overlaps State Route 7 through Proctorville, and later splits from State Route 7 near the fairgrounds and heads north, and then east through the community of Rome. Finally the route meets its eastern terminus at State Route 7 about 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Proctorville.
