Its southern terminus is at State Route 88 about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Hiram, and its northern terminus is also the northern terminus of State Route 168 at State Route 87 in Burton. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is the organization of state government responsible for developing and maintaining all state and federal roadways in the state of Ohio with exception of the Ohio Turnpike. In addition to highways, the department also helps develop public transportation and public aviation programs. ODOT (pronounced "oh-dot") is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio and is part of the executive branch of the Ohio state government. The Director of Transportation is part of the Governor's Cabinet.
