The Oklahoma Department of Insurance (ODI) is an agency of the government of Oklahoma under the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner, a statewide elected official. ODI is responsible for supervising and regulating all insurance business in Oklahoma. The current Insurance Commissioner is Kim Holland, a Democrat who was originally appointed by Democratic Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry in 2005, following the indictment and resignation of her predecessor, Carroll Fisher. She is the second woman to serve to as the Insurance Commissioner. In 2006, she was elected to serve her first full term.
