On a Day Like Today is an album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, released in 1998 (see 1998 in music). Bryan recruited producer Bob Rock for this album. Bryan wanted to produce a hit album after critics panned his last studio album. On a Day Like Today sold 3 million copies on its release and was a success except in the American market where it became the first album since 1983's "Cuts Like A Knife" to not obtain a platinum certification by the RIAA. It was certified Platinum in UK and 2X platinum in Canada. According to Allmusic the record company didn't do a lot of advertising for album. The album reached #3 in Canada
