They play fast HC punk with some metal influences. Painstream stands out in their local punk scene by their use of different instruments such as the Hammond organ, saxophone and cello in some of their songs.Hardcore punk, often referred to as simply hardcore, is a subgenre of punk rock that originated primarily in North America after the popularization of punk rock in the late 1970s.
